2.5 Using AI Translation
Choose the editor working language, confirm the original language, and select the translation mode and method.
Open AI Translate
In the top toolbar center area, click the purple AI Translate button.
Set the translation inputs
Original Language: choose the source language.Target Language: shown from the current editor working language; change it with the toolbarLanguagecontrol before opening this dialog.Optional style prompt: add tone or formatting guidance if needed.Preview style prompt: test one line before you run the full job.
Choose the sample line
For preview, use Longest line, Random line, or the Sequence picker.
Preview only tests the prompt. It does not change the script.
Choose the translation mode
- Translate all empty lines: fill only missing translations.
- Force overwrite: replace existing translations in the working language.
- Translation method: choose
AI translationor the separate machine translation option.
Start the job
- Click
Translatein the dialog footer. - Review the estimate in the confirmation dialog.
- In that confirmation, choose
Skip stage directionsif appropriate. Eligible Pro and Pro+ plans can also select enhanced quality for AI translation. - Click
Confirm and startin the confirmation dialog footer.
You can choose Stop translation after a job starts. The current batch may finish before processing stops, and translations already saved remain available.
Saved full-script translation changes appear in each line's Line history.
